Hi there, I'm Liam
Project manager. Parent. Expat based in Portland, United States.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United States wasn't on the master plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt more complex than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began crafting something that felt steady.
Why I Built NivenZuraViloVradulo
Most online information leaned toward either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in United States.
What This Site Stands For (And What It Doesn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in United States
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when things truly change
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in United States continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Portland or anywhere in United States, please feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Liam
